YIBS Faculty Affiliate Brandon Ogbunu receives National Academies Award

Yale computational biologist and YIBS faculty affiliate Brandon Ogbunu, whose research investigates complex problems in epidemiology, genetics, and evolution, has been honored with the 2024 National Academies Eric and Wendy Schmidt Award for Excellence in Science Communication.

This prestigious award recognizes individuals and teams who are excellent science communicators that address issues and advances in science, engineering, and/or health for the general public.

Ogbunu, an assistant professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Yale University, is celebrated for his work and ability to convey intricate scientific ideas, making science accessible and captivating to diverse audiences.
